Tuna Fried Rice
I learned this recipe from a Korean YouTuber (키미Food n Table) whose video was reuploaded to Bilibili by a friend. The flavor is amazing! If you have fresh eggs, you definitely have to try it with a sunny-side-up egg~
Ingredients
Cold cooked rice1 bowl
Egg1
Canned tuna in water or oil100g (drained)
Light soy sauce / soy sauce1/2 tablespoon
Korean gochujang (chili paste)1 tablespoon
Sesame oil1 tablespoon
Black pepperTo taste
Leek / scallion1/2 stalk; 1 stalk
Minced garlic1/2 tablespoon
Shredded / crumbled nori (optional)To taste
White sesame seeds (optional)To taste
Steps

Open a can of tuna and drain the liquid thoroughly.

Slice the leek (or scallion) into thin rings.

Heat some oil in a pan and fry the egg.

Heat oil in a pan, add the sliced leek and minced garlic, and stir-fry until fragrant. Then add the tuna and stir-fry, followed by the soy sauce and gochujang.

Add the rice and stir-fry until evenly mixed, then add sesame oil and freshly ground black pepper.

Cooking Tips
Tuna packed in water gives a texture a bit like fluffy fish floss, while tuna in oil has a richer mouthfeel. Either way, it’s delicious!
