Tomato Ketchup Chicken Wings
Ingredients

tomato ketchupto taste
dark soy sauceto taste
cooking wineto taste

Steps

Heat the pan, add vegetable oil, put in the bay leaves and star anise and fry over low heat until fragrant, then remove and discard them.

Add the garlic slices and stir-fry until fragrant.

Add the chicken wings and stir-fry continuously over medium-high heat until the skin tightens and turns slightly golden.

Add a splash of cooking wine, stir-fry a few times, then immediately add about half a tablespoon of dark soy sauce and stir until evenly coated.

Pour in the tomato ketchup (I used about 100 ml, roughly one-third of a 330 ml bottle).

Add water until it is level with the chicken wings.

Cooking Tips
1. After washing the chicken wings, it is recommended to trim off the excess skin on both sides with scissors; this part contains most of the subcutaneous fat of the wings.
2. Be sure to use a generous amount of tomato ketchup.
